Hi, I’m Ben Hoffman.
I’m a Mechanical Engineering Technology and Communications student at Illinois Central College with a passion for high-performance tech and hands-on creation. When I'm not studying, you can usually find me working with CAD design, 3D printing, or fine-tuning my PC build.
What I Do
Engineering & Design: I have 5 years of experience in CAD (PTC Creo) and enjoy bringing digital models to life through 3D printing.
Tech Enthusiast: I’m a Mobile Expert at T-Mobile and a lifelong fan of high-end PC hardware and gaming.
Content Creation: I experiment with video editing in DaVinci Resolve and digital art.
Automotive: I’m a Volvo enthusiast, currently maintaining and modifying a 2015 S80 T6.
Interests
Gaming: War Thunder and Battlefield are my go-tos.
Music: Big fan of Playboi Carti and the "Narcissist" era aesthetic.
Community: I’m a Level 6 Google Maps Local Guide, helping people find the best spots in the Peoria area.
Precision-Driven Design
With five years of experience in PTC Creo, I treat every 3D model as a puzzle to be solved. I don't just design for aesthetics; I design for functionality and manufacturability. My work with 3D printing (specifically on Bambu Lab systems) has taught me how to iterate quickly—moving from a digital concept to a physical prototype, testing it, and refining the tolerances until it's perfect.
Technical Optimization
I have a "builder" mindset. I enjoy pushing hardware to its limits, which shows in my approach to high-performance PC builds and automotive maintenance. I don't just use technology; I want to understand exactly how it works so I can make it faster, more efficient, and more reliable.
